CR-proBDNF attenuates amplitude of functional synaptic transmission in cultured hippocampal
neurons. Cells were cultured as described in Fig. 5A and treated with the indicated reagents
for 3 days. A patch-clamp technique in the whole-cell configuration was used to record
mEPSCs from pyramidal-shaped neurons and all data were statistically evaluated. (A)

that proBDNF significantly decreased the amplitude, but not the frequency, of mEPSCs.
Data were collected from 27–31 independent cells (non-parametric test, *P < 0.05, significantly different from Mock).
